Club Training to resume after school holidays (updated)

18 Jun 2021 by Mario Costa

Dear members,

Team training sessions will resume from Monday 12th July (due to school holidays) to ensure that we are able to communicate clearly with our schools, coaches, team managers, players and parents.

The club committee is currently updating our COVID Safety Plans and instructions which will be distributed to all coaches and team managers early next week, as well as providing then to the schools we hire from.

We need to emphasis that it is a government requirement that all members entering the school gymnasiums, are required to scan in using the Services Victoria QR Code (which is a mandatory requirements). The club will be arranging and communicating with our teams to ensure that we have a door keeper at every training session to monitor the members entering the facilities.

Unfortunately prior to the recent lockdown, we had observed a significant number of players and parents not registering upon entering the gyms. This can no longer be tolerated and could jeopardise of future hire arrangements with the schools.

Any teams wanting to participate in outdoor training activities are encouraged to do so under the guidance of the Basketball Victoria Return To Sport guidelines.

We hope to see games recommence as of Friday 25th and Saturday 26th June.

Please note that the committee will be reviewing the membership fees and considering a reduction of the second installment (due to the lost of games and training sessions). Invoices will be delayed until the decision has been made, any members requiring an invoice for the Get Active vouchers please email us at info@hoppersbasketball.com.au.
